Growing up, I believed in God, but I never truly understood what it meant to follow Christ. Faith felt more like a distant concept than a personal relationship. I even remember resisting my mom’s efforts to bring me to church. She tried, but I was stubborn and caught up in my own selfish ways. But God, in His grace, didn’t give up on me. He was kind to place people in my life who pointed me back to Him—most notably, my wife, Mallori. After we moved to South Carolina, Mallori’s mother, Pat, discovered Fellowship Greenville. Since then, this church has become a constant in our lives and a place where my faith has taken root. Looking back, I can clearly see the sovereignty of God at work—through the twists and turns, the peaks and valleys. He was never absent. He’s been shaping my heart, even when I didn’t realize it. I see now that He used the people around me—my amazing wife and family, our community group, and even fellow dads—to draw me closer to Him. Through them, I’ve learned that we’re not meant to walk this journey alone. God designed us for community, and I’ve found deep encouragement and growth through the ones He’s placed around me. Today, I’m ready. Ready to surrender my life fully to Christ. Ready to follow Him not just in belief, but in obedience. Not because of any works that I have done, but because of His gift of grace. And I want to declare to everyone that I am a child of God through baptism.
